Maura Hennigan and Tom Menino have both accepted
my invitation, tendered in a prior column, to meet for lunch at
Locke-Ober at noon on Oct. 19.
Hennigan's campaign manager called on Tuesday. Menino personally
called, saying, ''I love the idea."
The three of us will meet in a private room, without aides, for
one hour. I'll report back to you what was said. Both sides agreed
to have an audio version of the session posted on boston.com/globe.
